Yes. Our A1 German course is designed for complete beginners with little or no previous knowledge of German. You will start with essential vocabulary, pronunciation, basic grammar and simple communication for everyday situations.
If you have never studied German, A1 is usually the right starting point. If you already have some German knowledge, we recommend taking our placement test so that we can assess your current abilities and recommend the most suitable level.
The right course depends on your current German skills and your goals. We offer CEFR-aligned courses from A1 for beginners through to C1 for advanced learners. Our team can help you select a course suited to your needs, whether you are learning German for everyday life, work, study or an upcoming language examination.
Yes. Our German courses are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). We offer structured learning from A1 to C1, with clear objectives for speaking, listening, reading and writing at each level.
The time required depends on the course format, lesson frequency, your existing knowledge and how much you practise outside class. Intensive courses allow you to progress more quickly, while regular courses provide a more flexible pace. We can recommend a suitable learning plan based on your starting level and goals.
You can build vocabulary and practise grammar independently, but learning entirely on your own can make it difficult to identify mistakes and develop confident speaking skills. Our structured courses provide guidance from experienced teachers, practical communication exercises, regular feedback and opportunities to use German in realistic situations.
You can make meaningful progress in two months, particularly through intensive study, but reaching a particular CEFR level depends on your starting point, learning schedule and practice. A complete beginner may develop useful foundational skills during this period, but mastering German requires consistent learning over a longer period.
Reaching complete fluency from beginner level in six months is unlikely for most learners. However, with intensive lessons, regular self-study and frequent real-world practice, you can make substantial progress. We focus on building practical communication skills that you can apply in everyday life, work and study from an early stage.
Reaching C1 within one year may be possible for some highly committed learners following an intensive programme, especially if they already have German knowledge. For a complete beginner, this is a very ambitious goal. Your progress will depend on lesson intensity, independent study, language exposure and how consistently you practise all four skills.
C1 represents advanced German proficiency and is generally considered a fluent level. At C1, you should be able to understand complex texts, communicate spontaneously and use German effectively in academic, professional and social situations. However, fluency continues to develop through regular use and exposure to the language.
Please speak with our team about the documentation available after completing your selected course. A course completion document is different from an officially recognised language certificate. If you need formal proof of your German proficiency, we also offer TELC examinations and preparation.
After completing your course, you can progress to the next CEFR level—for example, from A1 to A2 or from B1 to B2. Depending on your goals, you may also continue with TELC exam preparation or use your improved German skills for everyday life, work, vocational training or study in Germany.
